Yucca filamentosa
A perennial plant that reaches a height of 100-150 cm, with stiff, sword-shaped, sharply pointed leaves of dark green color with a blue bloom, gathered in impressive, stemless rosettes. Large, white, bell-shaped flowers are gathered in impressive inflorescences. It blooms in July-August in the 2-3 year from sowing.
Sow seeds in March-April in pots or on pallets. At temperatures above 0°C, germination occurs after 4-6 weeks. Plant in a permanent location at the end of summer, individually or in groups, with a minimum spacing of 60x60 cm. It requires fertile, well-drained, slightly alkaline soil containing calcium and a sunny location.
Note! Yucca planted in a shaded area will beautifully decorate the flowerbed with its impressive leaves, but it will not bloom.
