Daucus carota
A very early variety for cultivation in open fields and under cover. The roots are short, almost spherical and orange in color. Particularly recommended for direct consumption as a low-calorie vegetable rich in carotene, either fresh or as juice. It is also suitable for storage, preservation, and freezing.
Sow seeds directly into the ground from March to June, or for spring harvest in November. Recommended spacing is 20x30 2-3 cm, with a sowing depth of 1-2 cm.
