Stevia Stevia rebaudiana Sweetheart
Latin name: Stevia rebaudiana
A herb, grown in its country of origin as a perennial, in Poland, due to the climate, as a seasonal plant. Due to its unique properties, it is used as a natural sweetener. The usable raw material is powdered leaves containing stevioside - a glycoside about 300 times sweeter than sugar, with the content of this compound in the plant being about 10%. It is characterized by low caloric content. Stevioside is resistant to high temperature, making it suitable for cooking and baking. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Stevia does not raise blood glucose levels and can be used by diabetics. The target height is 50-80 cm. Sensitive to even the slightest frost. Grow in a sunny location with permeable soil.
On the back of each package there is information about the description of the plant, the weight or quantity of seeds, the sowing date of the seeds from a given batch and tips on growing the plant.
On each package there is also information that "The packaging serves as evidence for the complaint". When opening the packaging, remember not to cut off or tear off important parts that contain information on it - e.g. batch numbers, sowing dates, etc.
