Cucumis sp.
An original mix of several little-known exotic cucumber species for annual cultivation in the ground. Plants form long, sprawling stems up to 2m in length, on which attractive fruits appear from August to October. They usually have a diameter of a few centimeters, with smooth or covered skin with protrusions, spines, and shades of yellow, orange, and green. Freshly harvested fruits can be used for short-term decorations or, when dried, presented in glass containers and decorative compositions for winter.
Cultivation: Sow seeds in the second half of April, 2-3 seeds per pallet or pot under cover. Germination lasts up to 2 weeks at a temperature of 20-24 degrees Celsius. Transplant seedlings with 4-5 leaves into the ground in the second half of May, with a spacing of 1x0.5m. Cultivate in open ground, preferably with support, in a sunny, sheltered place, on fertile and moist soil.
