Warty decorative pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo)
An intensely growing annual plant with climbing or trailing stems, perfect for covering arbors, fences, or as a ground cover. In late summer and autumn, numerous colorful, round or pear-shaped fruits appear. The surface of the fruits is covered with a thick skin with numerous wart-like protrusions. Harvested before the first frost in autumn, the fruits retain their decorative value until late spring, making them an attractive decorative element in living spaces. Sow seeds directly into the ground in early May, 2-3 seeds per spot every 50-70 cm. Germination occurs after 10-14 days. Grow in fertile, not too dry soil, in a sunny location.
