Garlic chives 1g (Allium tuberosum)
A perennial plant, growing up to 30-35 cm tall, quickly forming dense clumps. From July to the end of September, among the upright leaves, flowering stems appear, topped with clusters of white, star-shaped flowers. A plant with triple use. As a vegetable, added to salads and raw dishes, as a medicinal plant, with anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and carminative properties, and as a decorative ornamental plant. The leaves, with a distinct garlic aroma and taste, are a rich source of micro- and macro-elements. Sow seeds directly into the ground in rows 30 cm apart in April-May. After germination, leave a few plants spaced 30 cm apart. Plants can be grown in the same spot for 3-4 years. Overwinter as bulbs. Best grown in fertile, moderately moist soils.
