Parsnip Long White
Pastinaca sativa
It has a high nutritional value, starch, mineral salts, and essential oils. The roots are suitable for salads or can be prepared like asparagus. It is resistant to frost and can overwinter in the ground without cover. It requires fertile, deep, and moist soil. The position should be in the second year after manure. Sow as early as possible from mid-April in rows 25-40 cm apart. Use thinning, leaving plants in rows at intervals of 5-6 cm.
