Edible tomato berry AMARYLLA 0.5g (Physalis ixocarpa)
An annual plant that grows up to about 60 cm tall, strongly branching with spreading stems. The fruit of the husk tomato is enclosed in a leathery husk, has a yellow-green color, and is similar in shape to a tomato. It weighs 30-40 g, is firm, juicy, and has a specific sweet and sour taste. It is perfect for preserves. Sow the seeds in April in boxes, pots, or on pallets. At a temperature of 15-22°C, germination occurs after 2 weeks. Plant the seedlings in the ground in the second half of May, with a spacing of 70x70 cm. The husk tomato requires fertile, sufficiently moist soil. Grow it on stakes or wires stretched between stakes. Do not cut the stems. Ripening fruits often fall off - they should be collected, removing the leathery husk. Harvest once a week.
