Cucurbita pepo
An early, productive variety with fruits shaped like a pattypan. Plants have a compact, bushy habit and are resistant to powdery mildew. The fruits are rich in vitamin C and are suitable for preserving and pickling, while older fruits can be baked. Pickled fruits can be used as a substitute for cucumbers. Sow seeds in late April in pots or directly into the ground in the first half of May, with a spacing of 100 x 80 cm and 2-3 seeds in each spot. After germination, leave one plant in each spot.
