Cucurbita maxima
A new attractive variety of pumpkin with original, also decorative fruits. Plants are not very strong-growing with a semi-bushy habit. The fruits are medium-sized (2.5-3.5 kg) with an orange-red skin, sometimes with pink stripes. The flesh is dark orange, soft, up to 5 cm thick and has high nutritional value, rich in carotene. Excellent for direct consumption as juice, compote, cake or for making preserves. The high resistance of the fruits to damage during transport and long storage period (even until the end of winter) favor the use of this variety in the food processing industry.
