Red Toga Seven-Year Onion - Red
Other names: garden onion, common onion, scallion, spring onion
Latin name: Allium fistulosum
A perennial, frost-resistant plant used for scallions. It forms a thickening with an attractive purple-red color that gradually turns into green, tubular leaves. From spring sowing, we will get scallions already in summer, while from summer sowing only in the following spring. The Seven-Year Onion requires fertile and moderately moist soil. It should not remain in one place for longer than 3-4 years, as it strongly sterilizes the soil and weeds it.
