Watermelon Kawon JANOSIK 0.75g (Citrullus lanatus)
Information from the producer: The first Polish variety with fruits that have yellow flesh. Adapted to the climatic conditions of Poland. Recommended for cultivation in open ground or in plastic tunnels. Fruits are large, weighing 3.5-5.5 kg, round or oval-shaped, with a thin dark green skin with darker stripes. The flesh is firm, juicy, and sweet with a small amount of small seeds. Seeds should be sown from mid to late April in pots with a diameter of 7-8 cm. At a temperature of 20-24°C, germination takes up to 2 weeks. Seedlings with 4-5 leaves should be transplanted in the second half of May, with a spacing of 1x1 m, preferably in holes lined with well-spread manure or compost. Cultivate in a sunny, sheltered place, on fertile and moist soil. Harvesting of fruits begins in August and lasts until the end of September. Ripe fruits make a dull sound when tapped.
