Borago officinalis
An annual plant with edible leaves. It prefers light and moist soil and is sown directly into the ground. Folk medicine used its mild anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and calming effects. Chopped, young leaves can be added to Ukrainian borscht, salads, sauces, mayonnaise, meats, and cottage cheese.

The flowers have a beautiful blue hue and taste like cucumber.
