A perennial with an evergreen, clump-forming rosette. Slender stems topped with bell-shaped, small flowers in spikes. Flowers are borne on long, leafless stems. Blooms for a long time and abundantly. Sow seeds in June-July in a seedbed. Transplant to permanent location in September. Blooms abundantly from May-July the following year. Recommended for cultivation in larger groups in perennial borders. Likes fertile and fairly moist soils.
