Chives FORTEL 2g (Allium schoenoprasum)
A variety intended for cultivation in the field and under cover for early forcing. Plants of medium height, 40-50cm, forming dense clumps. Leaves long, of medium thickness, blue-green in color, with a slight waxy coating, very aromatic. Very productive - from two-year-old clumps, the yield of green mass is about 5kg/plant. A perennial plant, grown from direct sowing into the ground - sowing in April or from seedlings and from clump division. When grown from seedlings, seeds are sown in March-April in a nursery. The seedlings are transplanted to their permanent location in May, with a spacing of 30x20 cm, 5-8 plants together. Requires fertile, humus-rich soil. Harvested 3-4 times per season, from May to September. 1g = 900 - 1600 seeds
