Black Mustard Sprouting Seeds 20g
Black Mustard Sprouts
Black mustard sprouts are characterized by a sharp, distinct taste and aroma, as well as rapid growth. Black mustard contains more phytoncides with antibacterial properties and vitamin B2, which strengthens the body's immune processes, than other types of mustard. They also contain fiber, saponins, flavonoids, and plant hormones, which beneficially regulate the functioning of the entire body and blood circulation. They are particularly recommended for spicy dishes, salads, fresh cheeses, and sandwiches. The seeds themselves can also be used as a seasoning for pickled cucumbers and homemade mustard. Black mustard sprouts are easier to grow than white mustard because they release significantly less mucus during the sprouting process.
Preparing the Sprouts:
Producing sprouts at home is very easy to do using a sprouter. Following the instructions, the sprouts are ready to eat after 3-6 days. The sprouter allows for the simultaneous cultivation of 3 types of sprouts. Another method of producing sprouts is to use a jar. To do this, rinse the seeds and then transfer them to a previously sterilized container and pour in boiled, lukewarm water. Soak for a few hours, then drain the water and rinse the seeds. Cover the container with gauze, tie it up, and leave it in a warm (18-22°C), non-sunny place. During this time, rinse the sprouts twice a day with water. The sprouts are ready to eat when they reach a length of about 3-5 cm, after 3-6 days.
