Alpine Edelweiss 0.1g (Leontopodium alpinum)
A perennial plant with felted stems and leaves, and small, white-felted flowers gathered in star-shaped inflorescences. Seeds should be frozen for 48 hours at 0 degrees Celsius before sowing. Sow seeds in March-April in a greenhouse in humus soil with a mixture of limestone sand. Seeds germinate after 1-2 weeks at a temperature of 18-20 degrees Celsius. Seedlings should be pricked out and then planted in the ground in May-June. Blooms from June to August in the following year. Grown in rock gardens, as a cut flower, and for drying. Requires periodic soil fertilization with calcium.
