Lunaria annua
A two-year plant with an upright habit. White or purple-pink flowers gathered in terminal corymbs. Its main decoration are large, elliptical, silvery partitions of seed pods called "Judas silver coins". Sow seeds from May to June directly into the ground. It does not tolerate transplanting. Blooms from May to July in the second year of cultivation. Excellent for perennial borders, garden groups. Fruit bodies are excellent for fresh and dry flower arrangements. Requires fertile, loamy soil.
