Karola Stem Lettuce 0.5g (Lactuca sativa var. angustiana)
This variety is recommended for field cultivation in early spring and autumn. The edible part is the fleshy stem, also known as the "głąbik," and the leaves, which should be consumed before the flowers bloom. The tastiest part of the stem is located at a height of 30-60 cm. The stem can be eaten raw, cooked, pickled, or preserved. The growing period from sowing to harvest is 70-90 days.
