White pointed cabbage 'KAMIENNA GŁOWA' late variety
Kamienna Głowa cabbage is a late variety (vegetation period of 130 to 150 days). It is characterized by fairly large heads, which can reach from 3.5 to 4.5 kg.
It develops large, white inner leaves, while the outer leaves surrounding it are green. The heads usually have a round or slightly flattened shape and are very tight. The variety is distinguished by a fairly high stem, which can be from 18 to 25 cm high.
Kamienna Głowa is one of the most productive varieties of white cabbage in Poland, and it is also the best variety for pickling. It also tastes good when eaten raw or cooked. It does not have particularly high soil requirements, but on more fertile soil, it gives a large, stable yield. It can be sensitive to water deficiency and requires watering in dry years. It does not tend to crack and is also distinguished by its exceptional storage durability.
